Table Mountain Scrambling

Climbing not quite your thing? Bigger group of friends?
Scrambling might be a better option.

What is Scrambling?

On Table Mountain, scrambling routes are usually hiking routes with sections that involve steep, exposed  rocky terrain where you want to focus on handholds and footholds in order to navigate the challenging sections. Quite often a rope is used for additional safety.

Scrambling is a great way to explore the more rugged sections of the Mountain.

Scrambling is a type of activity that lies between hiking and rock climbing, involving moving over steep, rocky terrain using hands and feet for support. It often involves navigating challenging sections where hiking boots are helpful but climbing gear might not be essential. Scrambling can be a fun way to experience mountains and rugged landscapes, but it’s important to be aware of the inherent risks and prepare accordingly, according to hiking websites.
